I have looked around for a couple days on lots of posts and forums but can't really find anyone with the same problem, or at least, any useful posts about it. Anyone have this problem on this forum in the past?
I bought ETW on disc and installed it and steam took over and patched it. I tried to run it, and on the copyright screen the computer completely froze. It didn't shut down, it didnt reboot, it just froze and I had to hit the reset button to do anything.
Setup:
Windows 7 64bit Home Ed.
Intel i7-930 Quad Core (2.80ghz/8mb cache/4.80GT/s)
8gb DDR3 1333 ram
GeForce GTX 470 1280mb
RealTek Integrated sound card on MSI x58 Pro-E
I unintalled and am now downloading the game entirely from steam instead of using the discs. I have also reinstalled my drivers. I hope reinstalling everything works, but please if you have any other suggestions let me know. I have not modded either, it's a brand new computer and game.
**FIXED**
After I uninstalled and downloaded the entire game instead of using the discs and then steam updates it worked.
