Welcome.
This forum is dedicated to Guides and Articles, as one can tell by its name. The idea behind this forum is to provide a place for articles and guides to be exposed to public view and criticism, so that errors and such can be identified and fixed before publishing the article or guide on the Main Site. A side effect of this is that articles can be worked on by teams of writers, not just a single writer. This is especially handy for those working on Strategy Guides and Opening Moves.
Another is that quality control of the article can be performed by more than the single set of moderator eyes that see it before publishing- we can all put in our penny’s worth. Accuracy is thus enhanced, as is quality control.
The threads posted here, unborn articles if you will, can thus be presented, worked upon, edited, and corrected in a community atmosphere that can help our community spirit. The threads, when ready for posting, can also double as the “Praise and Criticism” threads that otherwise appear in the Discussion Forums.
A few basic guidelines for articles and guides:

A few basic guidelines for articles and guides:
- Original work only, please. No Plagiarism. Piracy of other people's works will be dealt with firmly and harshly.
- Constructive criticism is both appreciated and expected. This is how we improve our works and grow our minds.
- Negative criticism, such as 'it sucked' or 'this boned', is neither welcome nor helpful as it contributes nothing of worth except an opinion. Opinions are like assholes- everybody has one and they are all different. Say something helpful or keep your trap shut.
- The originator shall edit the OP as necessary. Use replies to notify the forummers/mods that the update has occurred.
- Post a reply stating the work is complete when you feel it is ready.
- Submissions that make it to the Main Site will be counted towards a Custom Title (see other sticky) for the originator(s). Those contributing to the article/guide through constructive criticism and giving ideas will be credited in the article for their help, though it shall
not count towards a custom title. It is far easier to pick apart and improve someone else’s work than to create a piece yourself. - Constructive criticism is both appreciated and expected. This is how we improve our works and grow our minds.
