So me and my girlfriend just moved into together. Big step, yes i know but we have been together for about 4 years 8months or so now, so it seems like a good time.

Any advice from the people more experienced living with partners out there?

Congratulations.

Don't leave the toilet seat down when pissing, or up when you are done. Close it.

Learn to compromise. Her too. Living together is accepting the other's imperfections and getting on with the good stuff.

Show respect for each other's privacy.

Do not abuse that respect.

Don't puke in her shoes when you are drunk.

Congratulations as well. I don't really have much to add to Terikel's words of advice other than to say to set boundaries and respect them. It's different seeing someone, even seeing them a lot, and living with them.
