I play with my wife & son Age of Empires 3 on a Lan ONLY.
I'm not interested in online play of any kind.
I just discovered Empire Total war as an alternative (I know the franchise has been around for a awhile, but never bothered to check it till now, I was under the impression it was like civilizations, ie turn based not RTS)
I purchased two copies and will purchase a 3rd if need be, But I need to know info I can't seem to find any where:
Can I save a multi-player game?
As a matter of course I know this game can go on for a long time and Age of empires 2 had that ability (a feature they removed in 3 which was dumb in my opinion) It would seem foolish to not have that feature in it.
Does it need to connected to the Internet to play?
I currently have Gigabit Lan and really hate the thought of depending on a 5-10 Mbps connection to the Internet to play on my Lan. This is tactic currently employed by Blizzard and is the soul reason I won't be buying Diablo 3. This is also the reason I wouldn't buy through Steam.
Thanks.
