A guy named "(WoC_Varus" was fighting me today with simple Line Infantry (range must be range 70).
But I was very surprised to see that my French Tirailleurs (range = 125) were out-ranged by about 30% by his line infantry…
Thus his line infantry had about 160 range…. No need to say that he crushed me of course ... BTW. version 1.3
Anyway multiplayer is over for me… It was a lot of fun anyway to play with all the truthful players.
Cheers…

Hi JeanBaptiste Was there a hill or height difference which might account for the range difference?
It became clear early enough that players could mod units and those modifications would appear in online games, which is one of the reasons we've put the ladder on hold. It was one of the things I looked for in the list of fixes for 1.3 and it wasn't there. Going by what you say, we may need to wait longer again before it is fixed.

Those WoC guys are cheaters all around i have played with Varus before and i noticed this as well... Also one of his clan members posts a game called 1V1-No Art, then when asked what the rules are he says "NoArt" and then he gets art anyway. I still managed to beat him but be cautious when playing with these guys.

It was a flat map, that could not be the reason for the insane line infantry range.
There was also an insane fast reload of the line infantry.
Anyway multiplayer is too much fun to abandon it so I am going to watch out better for the cheaters.
It could be possible that I was destroyed in a huge ambush surrounded by hidden WB Jaegers in the bushes. If this was the case then I do apology to Mr. Varus for the accusation.
What I am saying is that I am not 100% sure about the cheating, thus MR. Varus was added to my friends list and maybe I have a chance to take revenge for that disgraced loss in that particular battle.
Anyway I am happy to share a couple of months later my 100th ranked winning online:

Wow. Those stats do prove something, it would be hard to kill less men if yours were facing the other way...
I have also seen cheaters with more subtle cheats, like more money and extremely fast reloading times. (3x as fast as me.)
