First off, my PC isn't really that great, but I can run Rome, Medieval II, and AoE3 very good, better than ever.
While the graphics ain't the best, I can still play ETW land battles. Ain't tried sea battles. The land battles ARE playable though, and they don't lag at all. I think the largest battle I've been though was that Brandywine Creek battle and it ran fine.
My problem is the Strategy Map. It is really laggy and jittery, but not unplayable. I would just prefer it run slightly better.
Is there any tricks or work-arounds for this? Cause I know I use to disable particles (smoke, dust) on AoE3 and it made the game run so much more better. I was wondering if there was anything I could alter on the strategy map to make it run better. Perhaps I could disable waving flags, or remove the trade ship animations, or decrease the graphical textures of the terrain/city icons and whatnot?
