Recently got back into Rome: Total War after downloading it from Steam. Hadn't played the game since about 2007/8 because my PC at the time was old and knackered and just stopped running the game.
I want to see if I can play Empire: Total War on my laptop. I know laptops are not really designed for PC gaming but I don't plan to play anything but TW.
Got the laptop last year and here are the specs, copied word-for-word from my System Summary:
- Windows 7
- Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 4Gb
- AMD A4-3300M APU w/ HD Graphics, 1900 MHz, 2 cores, 2 logical processors[I presume that means Dual Core?]
- AMD Radeon HD 6480G 512 DDR3
- 522Gb HDD space free
Seems to match most of the requirements posted on sites except the processor. Processor is a bit slow, no? I'm not sure, last time I took notice of PC requirements Intel Pentium 4 was all in the rage so I have no idea how Dual Cores work.
Will I be able to run Empire: Total War or would I be better off getting Medieval II?
Thanks for your help. I'll be in the RTWheaven forum.
