Hello modders.

Am am about ready to embark on my first mod for ETW and I want to make sure I do it right from the start. I am currently playing with Imperial splendour v 2.1, and I am really enjoying it. However, I would like to make some tweaks to it as well as eventually adding some major changes once my skill improves. However, I am currently clueless as to how to modify the files of both the mod and the base game. I have the mod manager, the packfile manager, and the DB editor. I would like to be able to make a mod that I can enable and disable at will while I work on it using the mod manager, so i can play with people who only have the base IS and eventually share my mod. How should I begin?

I think our Modidng Essentials described what you want to know.

Thanks for the help, Im off to a good start. But i have another quick question. How do I modify/create firing drills? My goal is to eventually introduce a volley fire drill to replace fire by rank as the universal standard. In addition I would like to tweak fire by rank. is this possible with the current modding tools and if so, how?
