I have been playing ETW for about a year now off and on and the problem I have is after capturing the large Russian cities. Such as Moscow Kiev or St Petes.
what happens is after the capture of one of these cities that is the next turn after capture. the amount of money if get from taxes goes down a lot. making me bankrupt.
For example I might be making 5000-6000 a turn and it will go down to -4000 or even less.
I cant see any reason for this at all,
Does anyone know why the taxes crash like I have mentioned?
And how would I stop it?

It's been some time since I fired up ETW so I'm a little rusty, but I seem to remember that when dealing with unrest in a city there was a specific amount of military repression available even in the absence of a garrison. This went by "military crack-down", or some such title. However, this came at a price, as could be seen in both the city details and financial summary screens.
Are you saying that the region wealth of the affected cities dives after you conquer the cities, that the specific income from taxes from those cities drops, or that the income from taxes across your entire empire drops?
